Vehicle control apparatus and control method thereof

A vehicle control apparatus comprising:

• a body providing controls for systems of a vehicle;
• and
• a display device provided in the body,
• wherein the display device comprises:
• a display configured to display visual information;
• and
• a driving unit configured to change at least one of a shape of the display and a position of the display according to a mode of the display device,
• wherein the body further comprises a hidden area that is selectively covered by a lower portion of the display,
• the driving unit selectively covers and uncovers the hidden area by changing the position of the display,
• modes of the display device comprise an exposure mode in which the hidden area is exposed and a non-exposure mode in which the hidden area is not exposed, and
• an arrangement of one or more buttons in the hidden area in the exposure mode are identical to an arrangement of one or more buttons of the lower portion of the display that covers the hidden area in the non-exposure mode.
