## Abstract

A system and method for generating a graphical user interface for displaying interactive tables include: a computing system with a processor connected to a non-transitory storage device; a table application having computer-readable instructions and being stored in the storage device; a network connection between a user device with a display screen and the computing system; and wherein the computing system performs steps of, sending to the user device a data set and instructions to generate a graphical user interface displaying a display table on the display screen including data from the data set and an actuatable icon or button; and in response to actuation of the icon or button sending further instructions to the user device causing the user device to switch the display table display to a display of an interactive table on the display screen, the interactive table display including the data from the display table.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system for generating a graphical user interface for displaying interactive tables, the system comprising:
a computing system including a processor connected to a non-transitory storage device;
a table application having computer-readable instructions and being stored in the storage device;
a network connection operatively connecting a user device to the computing system, the user device having a display screen; and
wherein, upon execution of the computer-readable instructions by the processor, the computing system performs steps of,
sending to the user device a data set and instructions causing the user device to generate a graphical user interface displaying a display table on the display screen, the display table display including data from the data set and an actuatable icon or button; and
in response to actuation of the icon or button sending further instructions to the user device causing the user device to switch the display table display to a display of an interactive table on the display screen, the interactive table display including the data from the display table.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1 wherein the actuatable icon is an expand icon.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The system according to claim 2 wherein the interactive table extends to an entire width of the display screen.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1 wherein the interactive table display includes a “File” tab.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The system according to claim 4 wherein clicking the “File” tab generates a menu that lists actions including save, export, print, download and reset to the default.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1 wherein the interactive table display includes an “Edit” tab.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6 wherein clicking the “Edit” tab generates a menu that lists actions including undo, bold text, italicize text, color text, and expand cells to expose all text within.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1 wherein the interactive table display includes a “View” tab.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The system according to claim 8 wherein clicking the “View” tab generates a menu that lists actions including expanding padding around cells for visual comfort, standard cell padding, freezing columns and rows, rearranging columns, and showing and hiding additional data points that have been captured but are not part of the standard view.

### Claim 10

A method for generating a graphical user interface for displaying interactive tables, the method comprising steps of:
providing a computing system including a processor connected to a non-transitory storage device;
providing a table application having computer-readable instructions and being stored in the storage device;
operatively connecting a user device to the computing system with a network connection, the user device having a display screen; and
wherein, upon execution of the computer-readable instructions by the processor, the computing system performs steps of,
sending to the user device a data set and instructions causing the user device to generate a display of a display table on the display screen, the display table display including data from the data set and an actuatable icon or button; and
in response to actuation of the icon or button sending further instructions to the user device causing the user device to switch the display table display to a display of an interactive table on the display screen, the interactive table display including the data from the display table.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The method according to claim 10 wherein the actuatable icon is an expand icon.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The method according to claim 11 wherein the interactive table extends to an entire width of the display screen.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The method according to claim 10 wherein the interactive table display includes a “File” tab.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The method according to claim 13 wherein clicking the “File” tab generates a menu that lists actions including save, export, print, download and reset to the default.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The method according to claim 10 wherein the interactive table display includes an “Edit” tab.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The method according to claim 15 wherein clicking the “Edit” tab generates a menu that lists actions including undo, bold text, italicize text, color text, and expand cells to expose all text within.

### Claim 17 (depends on 10)

The method according to claim 10 wherein the interactive table display includes a “View” tab.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The method according to claim 17 wherein clicking the “View” tab generates a menu that lists actions including expanding padding around cells for visual comfort, standard cell padding, freezing columns and rows, rearranging columns, and showing and hiding additional data points that have been captured but are not part of the standard view.
