Abstract
A concrete masonry unit, comprising a solid portion comprising cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and 10 percent to 25 percent of microbeads with respect to a total volume of the solid portion; and at least one hollow portion boring through the solid portion; and wherein the concrete masonry unit meets the requirements under standards ASTM C90 as measured according to ASTM C140.

A concrete masonry unit, comprising:
- a solid portion comprising:
- cement,
- coarse aggregate,
- fine aggregate, and
- 10 percent to 25 percent of microbeads with respect to a total volume of the solid portion;
- and
- at least one hollow portion boring through the solid portion;

- wherein the concrete masonry unit meets the requirements under standards ASTM C90 as measured according to ASTM C140.
