Abstract
Provided herein is a method for treating a human subject afflicted with ALS by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of pridopidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method for maintaining, improving, or lessening the decline of symptoms associated with ALS in a subject in need thereof wherein the symptom is impaired:
- functionality, respiratory function, bulbar function, speech, muscle strength or any combination thereof, wherein the method comprises administering to the subject a composition comprising a therapeutically acceptable amount of pridopidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
