Abstract
A hammock rocking device includes a hammock to accommodate a user in a recumbent position and the hammock is attachable to a first vertical support. A rocking unit has a primary loop coupled to the rocking unit and a secondary loop pivotally attached to the rocking unit. The secondary loop is alternatively pivoted between a first direction and a second direction when the rocking unit is turned on. The rocking unit can be suspended from a second vertical support. The hammock is attachable to the secondary loop and the secondary loop rocks the hammock back and forth when the rocking unit is turned on. In this way the rocking unit enables the user to enjoy the sensation of being gently rocked back and forth when the user is in a recumbent position in the hammock.

- wherein said hammock has a second coupling being disposed on a second end of said hammock;
- wherein said second coupling is releasably matable to itself to define a closed loop associated with said second coupling which is disposed on said second end of said hammock;
- wherein said rocking unit comprises a housing having a front wall and a back wall and a top wall and a bottom wall and a sidelong wall extending between said front wall and said back wall such that said housing has a rectangular shape;
- wherein said front wall has a hole extending into an interior of said housing;
- wherein said hole is centrally located on said front wall;
- and
- wherein said housing has speed indicia being applied to said sidelong wall of said housing.
A hammock rocking device for rocking a hammock while a user is in a recumbent position in said hammock, said device comprising:
- a hammock being structured to define an elongated pocket wherein said hammock is configured to accommodate a user in a recumbent position, said hammock having a first coupling being disposed on a first end of said hammock, said first coupling being releasably matable to itself to define a closed loop associated with said first coupling which is disposed on said first end of said hammock, said first coupling being extendable around a first vertical support prior to said first coupling being releasably matable to itself such that said hammock is suspended from said first vertical support, said hammock having a second coupling being disposed on a second end of said hammock, said second coupling being releasably matable to itself to define a closed loop associated with said second coupling which is disposed on said second end of said hammock;
- an anchor strap being releasably matable to itself such that said anchor strap defines a closed loop associated with said anchor strap;
- a rocking unit having a primary loop being coupled to said rocking unit and a secondary loop being pivotally attached to said rocking unit, said secondary loop being alternatively pivoted between a first direction and a second direction when said rocking unit is turned on, said anchor strap being extendable through said primary loop thereby enabling said anchor strap to be extended around a second vertical support and be subsequently releasably mated to itself to suspend said rocking unit from said second vertical support, said hammock being attachable to said secondary loop thereby enabling said hammock to be extended between said first vertical support and said second vertical support wherein said hammock is configured to orient the user in a preferred orientation when the user is in the recumbent position in said hammock, said secondary loop rocking said hammock back and forth when said rocking unit is turned on wherein said rocking unit is configured to enable the user to enjoy the sensation of being gently rocked back and forth when the user is in the recumbent position in said hammock, said rocking unit comprising:
- a housing having a front wall and a back wall and a top wall and a bottom wall and a sidelong wall extending between said front wall and said back wall such that said housing has a rectangular shape, said front wall having a hole extending into an interior of said housing, said hole being centrally located on said front wall, said housing having speed indicia being applied to said sidelong wall of said housing, said speed indicia comprising numbers including “1” and “2” and “3” and “4”, said numbers being spaced apart from each other and being arranged to define a circle, said housing having a battery compartment being located in said interior of said housing, said bottom wall having a battery opening extending into said battery compartment, said housing including a battery cover which is removably attachable to said bottom wall such that said battery cover closes said battery opening;
