Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition for coating cheese. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for coating cheese comprising a high amount of beeswax and one or more further compound selected from the group of unsaturated fatty acids, fatty acid methyl esters and fatty alcohols.
Claims12
A composition for coating cheese, wherein the composition consists of:
- a) beeswax in an amount of 70% to 95% by weight, and
- b) at least one further compound selected from the group consisting of unsaturated fatty acids and fatty acid methyl esters in an amount of 2.5% to 20% by weight;
- c) optionally one or more compound(s) selected from the group consisting of emulsifiers and vegetable waxes;
- and
- d) optionally a coloring agent.
