Abstract
The present invention provides a muzzle for muzzling an animal. The muzzle features a guard comprising a wire basket configured to accommodate within its central cavity the snout, mouth and jaws of the muzzled animal, wherein the wire basket comprises a lower enclosed niche, which is sized and angled to receive an extended lower jaw of the animal adopted in a yawn. The muzzle also features a strap system for securing the muzzle about the head of the animal for correct and secure enclosing and positioning of the snout, mouth and jaws of the animal within the wire basket. The present invention further provides a method of using the muzzle and a method of manufacture.
Claims20
A muzzle for muzzling an animal comprising:
- a guard comprising a front, a back, a left, a right, a top and a bottom faces, the guard characterized as a wire basket configured to accommodate within its central cavity the snout, mouth and jaws of the muzzled animal, wherein the guard comprises a lower enclosed niche, which is shaped and angled to receive an extended lower jaw of the animal adopted in a yawn;
- and
- a strap system for securing the muzzle about the head of the animal for correct and secure enclosing and positioning of the snout, mouth and jaws of the animal within the guard.
