Abstract
A sheet transport device includes a sheet placing unit on which a sheet to be transported is placed, plural first detection units that detect the sheet placed on the sheet placing unit, a second detection unit that detects the sheet placed on the sheet placing unit via a detection method different from a detection method of the first detection unit, and a plurality of support units to which the first and second detection units are attached, in which the plurality of first detection units are attached to the same support unit that is attachable to and detachable from the sheet placing unit.

A sheet transport device comprising:
- a sheet placing unit on which a sheet to be transported is placed;
- a plurality of first detection units that detect the sheet placed on the sheet placing unit;
- a second detection unit that detects the sheet placed on the sheet placing unit via a detection method different from a detection method of the first detection unit;
- and
- a plurality of support units to which the first and second detection units are attached,
- wherein the plurality of first detection units are attached to the same support unit that is attachable to and detachable from the sheet placing unit.
