Pedal device

A pedal device of an organ-type, configured to transmit an electric signal corresponding to an amount of a pedal operation by a driver to an electronic control device of a vehicle, the pedal device comprising:

• a housing attached to a vehicle body;
• a shaft rotatably supported around a center of a shaft receiving portion provided in the housing as a rotation axis;
• a pedal pad arranged at a position separated from the shaft and rotatable around a same rotation axis as the shaft, wherein a stepped portion of the pedal pad that is stepped on by the driver is positioned above in the vertical direction relative to the rotation axis when being mounted on the vehicle;
• and
• a sensor unit including a rotating portion provided at the shaft, and a signal output portion provided at the housing to output a signal corresponding to a phase of the rotating portion, wherein
• the sensor unit is configured to detect a rotation angle of the pedal pad and the shaft.
