Method for providing sound reduction of a vehicle component

A sound reduction arrangement for reducing sound from a vehicle component being a sound emitting source, the sound reduction arrangement comprising:

• a first sound insulation module composed of a first material and having a first thickness for achieving a first sound-reducing capability with regards to sound level and frequency of the emitted sound, and a second sound insulation module composed of a second material and a having second thickness for achieving a second sound-reducing capability with regards to sound level and frequency of the emitted sound, the second material being different from the first material and the second thickness being different from the first thickness;
• and
• a carrier configured to at least partly enclose the sound emitting source, the carrier having an outer surface provided with an attachment structure configured to attach, and support, the first and second sound insulation modules;
• wherein the first and second sound insulation modules are attached onto the attachment structure of the carrier such that a first portion of the carrier is provided with the first sound insulation module and a second portion of the carrier is provided with the second sound insulation module.
