A low-voltage system of a transport refrigeration unit (TRU) includes a low-voltage direct current (LVDC) source; and a distribution bus coupled to the LVDC, the distribution bus is coupled to a compressor, at least one condenser, and at least one evaporator.

A low-voltage system of a transport refrigeration unit (TRU), the system comprising:
- a low-voltage direct current (LVDC) source;
- and
- a distribution bus coupled to the LVDC, wherein the distribution bus is coupled to a compressor, at least one condenser fan, and at least one evaporator fan.
