Vital sign detection device

Vital sign detection device configured to operate in an environment frequented by multiple subjects, wherein each subject is a user of a univocally associated portable device, said vital sign detection device having a vital sign detection unit configured to remotely detect vital sign data indicative of vital signs of a subject from the multiple subjects located in a vicinity of the vital sign detection device, the vital sign detection device further comprising:

• a detection unit configured to detect presence of a portable device associated with a user, wherein the portable device is associated with the user for dedicated use or includes the user profile;
• a distance determination unit configured to determine a distance amount indicative of a distance between the portable device and the subject;
• and
• a data association unit configured, upon determining that the distance amount matches a predetermined distance criterion, to associate the vital sign data of the subject with the user of the corresponding portable device.
