Abstract
A molding method of molding a mold for producing iron castings includes generating mixed sand using engineered sand as an aggregate and a binder, filling the mold with the mixed sand, and solidifying the mixed sand filled in the mold.

A molding method of molding a mold for producing iron castings, the molding method comprising:
- generating mixed sand using engineered sand as an aggregate and a binder;
- filling the mold with the mixed sand;
- and
- solidifying the mixed sand filled in the mold.
A mold material for molding a mold for producing iron castings, the mold material comprising engineered sand as an aggregate, the engineered sand comprising 60% or more of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and 40% or less of silicon dioxide (SiO2), and either sodium silicate or potassium silicate as a binder.
