Discrete fourier transform of a physical downlink control channel

A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:

• receiving, from a network device, configuration information that indicates at least a control channel element (CCE) and a plurality of resource groups associated with the CCE, wherein each resource group associated with the CCE includes a respective time resource element (TRE) and a respective frequency resource group (FRG), wherein the respective TRE comprises a non-integer number of time units, and wherein the respective FRG comprises multiple frequency units;
• determining that the CCE is associate with a time division multiplexed (TDMed) downlink control channel transmission;
• determining, based on the configuration information, allocation pattern information associated with the plurality of resource groups, wherein the allocation pattern information indicates respective locations of the plurality of resource groups in a search space;
• receiving the TDMed downlink control channel transmission in accordance with the allocation pattern information associated with the plurality of resource groups;
• and
• receiving a downlink shared channel transmission based on information in the TDMed downlink control channel transmission.

A network device, comprising:

• a processor configured to:
• transmit configuration information to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), wherein the configuration information indicates at least a control channel element (CCE) and a plurality of resource groups associated with the CCE, wherein each resource group associated with the CCE includes a respective time resource element (TRE) and a respective frequency resource group (FRG), wherein the respective TRE comprises a non-integer number of time units, and wherein the respective FRG comprises multiple frequency units;
• transmit a downlink control channel transmission based on time division multiplexing and using the plurality of resource groups associated with the CCE, wherein the downlink control channel transmission includes resource allocation information for a downlink shared channel transmission;
• and
• transmit the downlink shared channel transmission in accordance with the resource allocation information in the downlink control channel transmission.
