Abstract
A tuning fork resonator having a design allowing reduced dimensions of resonators while maintaining a high quality factor.
Claims15
Tuning fork resonator (10), comprising:
- a stem (11) having a first height (12) extending from a first base (13) to a second base (14);
- and
- a first resonator beam (15a) and a second resonator beam (15b) spaced from each other and coupled to the stem (11) and arranged in a plane substantially perpendicular to the height (12) of the stem (11);
- wherein the first resonator beam (15a) and the second resonator beam (15b) have a thickness (17a, 17b) comprised between 0.05% and 20% of the first height (12) of the stem (11).
