Abstract
Sensor information from a plurality of sensors that monitor a heat exchanger is accessed and then sensed information that corresponds to that sensor information is input into a control circuit configured to output virtual parameters corresponding to the heat exchanger as a function, at least in part, of the sensed information. A particular fault class is determined from amongst a plurality of fault classes as a function, at least in part, of the virtual parameters and at least one task is identified regarding the heat exchanger that corresponds to the particular fault class.

A method, comprising:
- accessing sensor information from a plurality of sensors that monitor an aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger;
- inputting sensed information corresponding to the sensor information into a control circuit configured to output virtual parameters corresponding to the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger as a first function, at least in part, of the sensed information;
- determining a particular fault class from amongst a plurality of fault classes as a second function, at least in part, of the virtual parameters;
- identifying at least one task regarding the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger corresponding to the particular fault class;
- and
- carrying out the at least one task regarding the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger to thereby remediate a fault with the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a control circuit configured to:
- access sensed information corresponding to sensor information from a plurality of sensors that monitor an aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger;
- output virtual parameters corresponding to the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger as a first function, at least in part, of the sensed information;
- determine a particular fault class from amongst a plurality of fault classes as a second function, at least in part, of the virtual parameters;
- and
- identify at least one task regarding the aircraft propulsion system heat exchanger corresponding to the particular fault class.
