Abstract
A porous glass includes: a skeleton; and multi-directional communication pores. The multi-directional communication pores are spherical pores and in communication with at least six pores around a multi-directional communicating pore. In an embodiment, the multi-directional communication pores are in communication with six to twelve pores around the multi-directional communicating pore.

A porous glass, comprising:
- a skeleton;
- and
- multi-directional communication pores,
- wherein the multi-directional communication pores are spherical pores and in communication with at least six pores around a multi-directional communicating pore.
