Abstract
A blocker vehicle for blocking a scene on a road includes a frame, a body assembly supported on the frame, and a collision avoidance and mitigation system (CAMS) including a CAMS module. The CAMS module includes a housing and at least one of a sensor or a camera that is supported by the housing and has a field of view. The CAMS module is rotatably coupled to the body assembly so that the field of view is selectively rotatable between an initial position where the field of view is misaligned with the road and an aligned position where the field of view is aligned with the road.
Claims20
A blocker vehicle for blocking a scene on a road, the blocker vehicle comprising:
- a frame;
- a body assembly supported on the frame;
- and
- a collision avoidance and mitigation system (CAMS) including a CAMS module, the CAMS module including:
- a housing;
- and
- at least one of a sensor or a camera that is supported by the housing and has a field of view;
- wherein the CAMS module is rotatably coupled to the body assembly so that the field of view is selectively rotatable between an initial position where the field of view is misaligned with the road and an aligned position where the field of view is aligned with the road.
A blocker vehicle for blocking a scene on a road, the blocker vehicle comprising:
- a frame;
- a body assembly supported on the frame;
- a collision avoidance and mitigation system (CAMS) including a CAMS module, the CAMS module including:
- a housing;
- at least one of a sensor or a camera that is supported by the housing and that has a field of view, wherein the at least one of the sensor or the camera is configured to acquire CAMS data;
- and
- an actuator or a motor coupled to the housing and configured to selectively reposition the housing relative to the body assembly;
- and
- one or more processing circuits configured to:
- detect that the field of view is in a misaligned position relative to a marking on the road;
- and
- instruct the actuator or the motor to reposition the housing so that the field of view is in an aligned position relative to the marking on the road.
A vehicle comprising:
- a frame defining a longitudinal axis;
- a body assembly supported on the frame;
- and
- a collision avoidance and mitigation system (CAMS) including:
- a first sensor positioned on a first side of the longitudinal axis;
- a first camera positioned on the first side of the longitudinal axis;
- a second sensor positioned on the first side of the longitudinal axis;
- and
- a second camera positioned on the first side of the longitudinal axis;
- wherein at least one of the first sensor or the first camera has a first field of view;
- wherein at least one the second sensor or the second camera has a second field of view;
- and
- wherein the first field of view and the second field of view at least partially overlap.
