Abstract
The present invention relates to devices and methods for measuring expansion diameter, radial force exerted against surrounding tissue, and pressure recovery across prosthetic heart valves, during valve implantation procedures.
Claims20
A delivery assembly comprising:
- a prosthetic valve radially expandable and compressible between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state, the prosthetic valve comprising an outflow end portion and inflow end portion;
- a delivery apparatus comprising a handle;
- and
- at least one continuous optic fiber coupled to the delivery apparatus, the at least one continuous optic fiber comprising:
- at least one continuous optic core;
- and
- at least one pressure sensing head coupled to the continuous optic core;
- wherein each of the at least one pressure sensing head of each of the at least one continuous optic fiber is positioned proximal to the outflow end portion of the prosthetic valve.
