Abstract
Exclusion devices for anatomical structures, and related instruments and related methods, are disclosed. An exclusion device for an anatomical structure may include a first beam, a second beam, and a first spring operatively coupled to the first beam and the second beam to exert a closing force on the first beam and the second beam, where the first spring is configured to maintain the first beam and the second beam along a common plane, and where the first spring is configured to be exclusively repositionable along the common plane.
Claims22
An exclusion device for an anatomical structure, the exclusion device comprising:
- a first beam;
- a second beam;
- and
- a first spring operatively coupled to the first beam and the second beam to exert a closing force on the first beam and the second beam;
- wherein the first spring is configured to maintain the first beam and the second beam along a common plane;
- and
- wherein the first spring is configured to be exclusively repositionable along the common plane.
An exclusion device for an anatomical structure, the exclusion device comprising:
- a first beam;
- a second beam;
- a first spring operatively coupled to the first beam and the second beam;
- and
- a second spring operatively coupled to the first beam and the second beam;
- wherein the first spring and the second spring cooperate to exert a closing force on the first beam and the second beam to bias the exclusion device closed;
- wherein the first beam includes a first longitudinal cavity along a dominant longitudinal dimension of the exclusion device, the first longitudinal cavity including a first longitudinal opening configured to receive a first portion of the first spring;
- wherein the second beam includes a second longitudinal cavity along the dominant longitudinal dimension, the second longitudinal cavity including a second longitudinal opening configured to receive a second portion of the first spring;
- wherein the first portion of the first spring include a first projection extending transverse to the dominant longitudinal dimension that is received within a first recess, of the first beam, extending transverse to the dominant longitudinal dimension;
- and
- wherein the second portion of the first spring include a second projection extending transverse to the dominant longitudinal dimension that is received within a second recess, of the second beam, extending transverse to the dominant longitudinal dimension.
