Seal-bore arrangement for a wellbore tubing disconnection tool

A disconnect tool comprising:

• a receptacle sub-assembly positionable downhole in a wellbore, the receptacle sub-assembly comprising:
• a seal-bore with a first section and a second section, the first section being positionable at a lesser depth in the wellbore than the second section. ;
• and
• a circulation port extending between the first section and the second section such that a first portion of a lateral surface area of the circulation port is defined by the first section and a second portion of the lateral surface area of the circulation port is defined by the second section;
• and
• a stinger sub-assembly insertable into the receptacle sub-assembly, the stinger sub-assembly comprising a plurality of channels and a plurality of annulus seals.

A method comprising:

• positioning a receptacle sub-assembly downhole in a wellbore, the receptacle sub-assembly comprising:
• a seal-bore with a first section and a second section;
• and
• a circulation port extending between the first section and the second section such that a first portion of a lateral surface area of the circulation port is defined by the first section and a second portion of the lateral surface area of the circulation port is defined by the second section;
• coupling the receptacle sub-assembly with a stinger sub-assembly by inserting the stinger sub-assembly into the receptacle sub-assembly;
• and
• circulating, during insertion of the stinger sub-assembly into the receptacle sub-assembly, a cleaning fluid in an annulus between the stinger sub-assembly and the receptacle sub-assembly using the circulation port.
