A method of improving motor deficits in a mammal having a neurodegenerative condition and suffering motor deficits comprising administering an effective amount of (E)-4-(2-nitrovinyl) benzoic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the mammal thereby to improve the motor deficits.
A method of reducing motor neuron degeneration in a mammal having amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and suffering motor neuron degeneration comprising administering an effective amount of (E)-4-(2-nitrovinyl) benzoic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the mammal thereby to reduce motor neuron degeneration.
A method of improving motor deficits in a mammal having a neurodegenerative condition comprising (i) diagnosing motor deficits in a mammal having a neurodegenerative condition and (ii) administering to said mammal having a diagnosis of motor deficits an effective amount of (E)-4-(2-nitrovinyl) benzoic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the mammal thereby to improve the motor deficits.
