Abstract
The subject invention relates to a system for producing and dispensing a liquid extract of coffee or tea that can be brewed in cold or room temperature water and that can be stored fresh in a refrigerator or cooler. The cold brew system comprises a brewing vessel and a double-layer filter bag system designed to reduce spilling and leaks and to improve the smoothness and flavor of the brewed beverage.
Claims20
A system for producing a brewed beverage, the system comprising:
- a) a brewing vessel;
- and
- b) one or more means for supplying ground coffee or tea into the brewing vessel;
- wherein the brewing vessel comprises an opening for receiving a liquid and a closure mechanism for sealing the opening;
- a flat base;
- and a means for dispensing liquid from the interior of the brewing vessel;
- and
- wherein the one or more means for supplying ground coffee or tea into the brewing vessel comprise one or more double-layer filter bags with the ground coffee or tea contained therein.
