A hearing-assistive device-based hearing loss compensation method is performed by the terminal. A communication connection is established between the terminal and a hearing-assistive device to be fitted. The method includes: performing a hearing loss test on a hearing-assistive object to obtain a hearing loss test result; performing hearing loss compensation based on the hearing loss test result to obtain a hearing loss compensation gain; and sending the hearing loss compensation gain to the hearing-assistive device, where the hearing-assistive device is configured to perform hearing loss compensation on a first speech signal based on the hearing loss compensation gain to obtain a second speech signal.
