Systems and methods for enhancing leakage inductance of power transformers

A transformer, the transformer comprising:

• a first toroidal core;
• a second toroidal core that is concentric with the first toroidal core and disposed within a cavity of the first toroidal core;
• wherein at least one of the first toroidal core or the second toroidal core comprises:
• a primary winding around a first portion of the at least one toroidal core;
• a secondary winding wound around a second portion of the at least one toroidal core different from the first portion.

An aircraft, the aircraft comprising:

• a transformer, the transformer comprising:
• a first toroidal core;
• a second toroidal core that is concentric with the first toroidal core and disposed within a cavity of the first toroidal core;
• wherein at least one of the first toroidal core or the second toroidal core comprises:
• a primary winding around a first portion of the at least one toroidal core;
• a secondary winding wound around a second portion of the at least one toroidal core different from the first portion.
