Abstract
A sliding member includes a sliding layer that contains a heat-resistant thermoplastic resin other than a fluororesin and graphite particles, in which the graphite particles are exposed on a sliding surface, and an average diameter of exposed portions of the graphite particles is 0.1 μm or more and 15 μm or less.

A sliding member comprising:
- a sliding layer that contains a heat-resistant thermoplastic resin other than a fluororesin and graphite particles,
- wherein the graphite particles are exposed on a sliding surface, and
- an average diameter of exposed portions of the graphite particles is 0.1 μm or more and 15 μm or less.
