Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a plurality of developing means configured to form toner images;
• transfer means configured to sequentially transfer the toner images onto recording material and to overlappingly form the toner image on the recording material;
• fixing means configured to press and heat the recording material on which the toner images are transferred and to fix the toner images on the recording material;
• a storage medium configured to store a usage history of the plurality of developing means;
• and
• a control means configured to control a fixing temperature of the fixing means,
• wherein the control means raises the fixing temperature as the usage history, of a first developing means of the plurality of developing means, stored in the storage medium is longer than the usage history of a second developing means which forms the toner image as a layer nearer to the recording material than a layer formed by the first developing means.

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a plurality of developing means configured to form toner images;
• transfer means configured to sequentially transfer the toner images onto a recording material and to overlappingly form the toner image on the recording material;
• fixing means configured to press and heat the recording material on which the toner images are transferred and to fix the toner images on the recording material;
• a storage medium configured to store a usage history of the plurality of developing means;
• and
• a control means configured to control a fixing temperature of the fixing means,
• wherein the control means lowers the fixing temperature as the usage history, of a first developing means of the plurality of developing means, stored in the storage medium is longer than the usage history of a second developing means which forms the toner image as a layer nearer to the recording material than a layer formed by the first developing means.
