A container body with a peelable lid having a frangible seal including a container body made of an opening having a rim with a polymer lining, a cavity, a body wall, and a closed end. The container body also includes a lid sealed to the rim of the open end of the container body; and a pull tab.

- a container body comprised of an opening having a rim with a polymer lining, a cavity, a body wall, and a closed end;
- a lid sealed to the rim of the open end of the container body;
- and
- a pull tab.
