Abstract
Described herein is an improved method of treatment with milsaperidone, of a patient in need of such treatment, comprising accounting for an increase in a serum urate level of the patient during treatment with the milsaperidone.

A method of reducing a possibility of an adverse consequence resulting from an increase in a serum urate level in a patient to whom a therapeutically effective amount of milsaperidone is being administered, comprising:
- accounting for the increase in the serum urate level of the patient during treatment with the milsaperidone.
