System for determining information related to cardiac deformation of an anatomical feature of a heart using deformation imaging

A method comprising:

• receiving imaging data of an anatomical feature of a heart of a subject;
• delineating a boundary of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject;
• dividing the anatomical feature into a plurality of overlapping segments that extend along the boundary of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject;
• determining information related to cardiac deformation of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject using deformation imaging and the plurality of overlapping segments;
• and
• displaying the information related to cardiac deformation of the anatomical feature of the heart.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• receive imaging data of an anatomical feature of a heart of a subject;
• delineate a boundary of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject;
• divide the anatomical feature into a plurality of overlapping segments that extend along the boundary of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject;
• determine information related to cardiac deformation of the anatomical feature of the heart of the subject using deformation imaging and the plurality of overlapping segments;
• and
• display the information related to cardiac deformation of the anatomical feature of the heart.
