Abstract
A system is provided and includes an electromechanical system, a controller configured to control operations of the electromechanical system in accordance with commands and a multi-modal navigation system. The multi-modal navigation system is communicative with the controller to be receptive of information relating to the operations of the electromechanical system and is configured to control at least a subset of the operations of the electromechanical system in accordance with the information and at least a subset of the commands.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- an electromechanical system;
- a controller configured to control operations of the electromechanical system in accordance with commands;
- and
- a multi-modal navigation system communicative with the controller to be receptive of information relating to the operations of the electromechanical system and configured to control at least a subset of the operations of the electromechanical system in accordance with the information and at least a subset of the commands.
An integrated system executable on a portable computing device and comprising:
- a passenger interface;
- and
- a plurality of applications networked together for data sharing and which comprise at least:
- a multi-modal navigation system, of which a wayfinding application is a client;
- and
- a movement system application for controlling a personnel movement system,
- the passenger interface being configured to present at least the wayfinding application and the movement system application to a passenger via the portable computing device such that the wayfinding application and the movement application are interactive with the passenger for navigation and for controlling the personnel movement system with sensory feedback transmittable to the passenger in association with passenger interactions with the wayfinding application and the movement application.
A computing system for wayfinding and personnel movement system control, the computing system comprising:
- a personnel movement system deployed in a building and being controllable by a control application;
- a first device configured to execute a first side of the control application;
- a second device configured to execute a multi-modal navigation application and to generate navigation information for display within the wayfinding application;
- and
- a third device configured to execute a wayfinding application with the passenger interface displayed therein that displays navigation information whereby the passenger interfaces with a second side of the control application.
