System and method for access point name management

A system for access point name (APN) management, comprising:

• an APN inventory system operating on a first processor that is configured to load one or more algorithms into working data memory of the first processor to cause the first processor to generate a data structure that identifies a plurality of unassigned APN subnets;
• and
• an APN mapping system operating on a second processor that is configured to load one or more algorithms into working data memory of the second processor to cause the second processor to associate a customer account number with one of the unassigned APN subnets as a function of one or more user-selected selected APN subnet option.

A method for network management, comprising:

• loading one or more algorithms into working data memory of a first processor to cause the first processor to generate a data structure that identifies a plurality of unassigned APN subnets;
• and
• loading one or more algorithms into working data memory of a second processor to cause the second processor to associate a customer account number with the one of the unassigned APN subnets as a function of a selected APN subnet options for that unassigned APN subnet.
