Abstract
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for adjusting a logical channel priority and protocol data unit set discarding.

A method comprising:
- determining a packet in a buffer associated with a logical channel has a remaining time until discard smaller than a remaining time threshold;
- determining the packet has an importance greater than an importance threshold;
- and
- adjusting a priority of the logical channel based on said determining that the packet has an importance greater than the importance threshold.

A method comprising:
- determining protocol data unit set importance (PSI)-based service data unit (SDU) discarding is activated;
- and
- determining a data radio bearer (DRB) is split between a first media access control (MAC) entity associated with a master node (MN) and a second MAC entity that is associated with a secondary node (SN);
- and
- determining whether to follow commands for activating or deactivating protocol data unit set importance (PSI)-based service data unit (SDU) discarding received from the MN via the first MAC entity or from the SN via the second MAC entity.
