Bis(alkynyloxysilyl)alkane, method for producing same, and curable silicone composition

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a bis(alkynyloxysilyl)alkane expressed by the general formula: where R1 independently represents an alkynyl group having 5 to 12 carbon atoms, R2 independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, R3 independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a is independently 1, 2, or 3, b is independently 0, 1, or 2, and (a+b) is 2 or 3, with the proviso that at least one b is 1 or 2, and n is an integer from 2 to 20. The bis(alkynyloxysilyl)alkane is effective as a hydrosilylation reaction inhibitor, has a high boiling point, low vapor pressure at room temperature, and has excellent affinity for curable silicone compositions that cure through a hydrosilylation reaction.
