Communication method and communication apparatus for optimizing session establishment in wireless networks using network slice information

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• a transceiver, configured to obtain indication information that indicates at least one of the following:
• whether a first service corresponding to a terminal device supports or does not support network slice remapping;
• whether the first service supports or does not support network slice fallback;
• whether the terminal device supports or does not support cell redirection;
• information about at least one second cell, wherein the second cell supports a first network slice;
• information about at least one second access device, wherein the at least one second access device supports the first network slice;
• or
• information about at least one second network slice, wherein the second network slice belongs to a supported network slice;
• and
• a processor, configured to communicate with the terminal device based on the indication information.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions, wherein the executable instructions, when executed by a computer, enables the computer to:

• obtain indication information, wherein the indication information indicates at least one of the following:
• whether a first service corresponding to a terminal device supports or does not support network slice remapping,
• whether the first service supports or does not support network slice fallback,
• whether the terminal device supports or does not support cell redirection,
• information about at least one second cell, wherein the second cell supports a first network slice;
• information about at least one second access device, wherein the at least one second access device supports the first network slice;
• or
• information about at least one second network slice, wherein the second network slice belongs to a supported network slice;
• and
• communicate with the terminal device based on the indication information.
