Abstract
A system for, and method of, remotely operating one or more vehicles in one or more inventory management facilities including one or more assets. The system and method include vehicles configured to move one or more assets in one or more inventory management facilities from a first location to a second location and a control station in communication with the one or more vehicles. The control station is remote from the one or more vehicles and communicates at least one operational command to the one or more vehicles to operate the one or more vehicles to perform one or more assigned tasks and/or operational workflows for the one or more vehicles.
Claims10
A system for remotely operating one or more vehicles in one or more inventory management facilities including one or more assets, the system comprising:
- the one or more vehicles configured to move one or more assets in the one or more inventory management facilities from a first location to a second location;
- and
- a control station in communication with the one or more vehicles,
- wherein the control station is remote from the one or more vehicles and communicates at least one operational command to the one or more vehicles to operate the one or more vehicles to perform one or more assigned tasks and/or operational workflows for the one or more vehicles.
A method of remotely operating one or more vehicles in one or more inventory management facilities including one or more assets, the method comprising the steps of:
- initiating a connection to a first vehicle of the one or more vehicles;
- assuming operational control of the first vehicle;
- and
- performing one or more assigned tasks and/or operational workflows for the first vehicle.
A server for controlling remotely operating one or more vehicles in one or more inventory management facilities including one or more assets, wherein the server is in communication with one or more sensors configured to generate sensor data of the one or more assets in the inventory management facility, the server comprising:
- one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums storing instructions comprising one or more algorithms that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform steps to:
- initiate a connection to a first vehicle of the one or more vehicles;
- assume operational control of the first vehicle;
- and
- perform one or more assigned tasks and/or operational workflows for the first vehicle.
