Abstract
An opening detection device includes a casing that is to be attached to a packaging material whose electric characteristics change when the packaging material is opened, and a detection section detecting opening of the packaging material based on change of the electric characteristics. The casing includes a holding structure with which the packaging material is detachably held.

An opening detection device comprising:
- a casing that is to be attached to a packaging material whose electric characteristics change when the packaging material is opened;
- and
- a detection section configured to detect opening of the packaging material based on change of the electric characteristics, wherein
- the casing includes a holding structure with which the packaging material is detachably held.
