Abstract
An apparatus for diagnosing a battery includes a profile obtaining unit configured to obtain a differential profile representing the corresponding relationship between a voltage of a battery and a differential capacity for the voltage; and a control unit configured to determine a target peak from the differential profile, determine a first comparison result that compares the voltage between a reference peak of a reference profile preset for the battery and the determined target peak and a second comparison result that compares the differential capacity between the reference peak and the determined target peak, and judge a state of the battery based on the first comparison result and the second comparison result.
Claims10
An apparatus for diagnosing a battery, comprising:
- a control unit configured to:
- determine a target peak from a differential profile representing a corresponding relationship between a voltage of a battery and a differential capacity for the voltage,
- determine a first comparison result that compares a reference voltage of a reference peak of a reference profile preset for the battery with an obtained voltage of the determined target peak,
- determine a second comparison result that compares the differential capacity for the reference voltage of the reference peak with the differential capacity for the obtained voltage of the determined target peak, and
- determine a state of the battery based on the first comparison result and the second comparison result.
A method for diagnosing a battery, comprising:
- obtaining a differential profile representing the corresponding relationship between a voltage of a battery and a differential capacity for the voltage;
- determining, by a control unit, a target peak from the differential profile;
- determining, by the control unit, a first comparison result that compares a reference voltage of a reference peak of a reference profile preset for the battery with an obtained voltage of the determined target peak
- determining, by the control unit, a second comparison result that compares the differential capacity for the reference voltage of the reference peak with the differential capacity for the obtained voltage of the determined target peak;
- and
- determining, by the control unit, a state of the battery based on the first comparison result and the second comparison result.
