Locking device, door assembly having such a locking device and method for installing such a locking device

A locking device for a door leaf of a door assembly, comprising:

• a faceplate,
• a mortise lock having one or more locking elements attached to the faceplate,
• at least one drive rod extending along a longitudinal direction, and
• at least one drive bolt,
• wherein the drive rod is configured to be driven by the mortise lock and is configured to be displaced along the longitudinal direction when driven by the mortise lock,
• wherein the drive rod is guided on the faceplate by means of guide elements coupled to the faceplate,
• a coupling means for coupling the at least one drive bolt, the coupling means being attached to the at least one drive rod and arranged outside the mortise lock,
• wherein the coupling means has a receptacle into which the drive bolt is configured to be inserted with an end section, and
• wherein the coupling means and the drive bolt are designed such that the drive bolt is coupled to the coupling means by latching when the end section is inserted into the receptacle.
