Abstract
Provided is a pneumatic radial tire for passenger vehicles in which the cross-sectional width SW of the tire and the outer diameter OD of the tire satisfy a predetermined relationship, and a layer is provided only in one tire width-direction half, that is arranged on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the belt and covers at least an end of the belt.

A pneumatic radial tire for passenger vehicles, comprising
- a pair of bead portions;
- a carcass consisting of one or more carcass plies that straddle in a toroidal shape between the pair of bead portions;
- and
- a belt consisting of one or more belt layers arranged on an outer side in a tire radial direction of a crown portion of the carcass, wherein
- a cross-sectional width SW of the tire is less than 165 (mm),
- a ratio of the cross-sectional width SW of the tire to an outer diameter OD of the tire is 0.26 or less, or the cross-sectional width SW (mm) of the tire and the outer diameter OD (mm) of the tire satisfy a relational expression:
