Abstract
A balloon catheter can comprise a shaft and a balloon coupled to a distal end portion of the shaft. The balloon can comprise a main body having first and second end portions and a sleeve. The sleeve can comprise a first end portion extending partially over the first end portion of the balloon and a second end portion extending partially over an adjacent surface of the balloon catheter. The first end portion of the sleeve can comprise a first plurality of circumferentially spaced, axially extending fingers. The second end portion of the sleeve can comprise an intermediate portion and a second plurality of fingers extending in a direction opposite the first plurality of fingers.

A balloon catheter comprising:
- a shaft having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion;
- an inflatable balloon mounted on the distal end portion of the shaft, the balloon comprising a main body having first and second end portions;
- and
- a sleeve comprising a first end portion extending partially over the first end portion of the balloon and a second end portion extending partially over an adjacent surface of the balloon catheter, wherein the first end portion of the sleeve comprises a plurality of circumferentially spaced, axially extending fingers.
A balloon catheter comprising:
- a shaft having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion;
- and
- an inflatable balloon mounted on the distal end portion of the shaft, the inflatable balloon comprising:
- a main body;
- and
- a plurality of circumferentially spaced ribs extending axially along at least a portion of the main body, wherein each of the plurality of ribs has a first width at a first end thereof and a second width at a second end thereof, wherein the first width is greater than the second width.
A balloon catheter comprising:
- a shaft having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion;
- and
- an inflatable balloon mounted on the distal end portion of the shaft, the inflatable balloon comprising:
- a main body having first and second end portions;
- and
- a plurality of circumferentially spaced ribs extending axially along the first end portion of the main body, wherein each rib has a first end disposed toward the first end portion of the main body and the second end disposed toward a second end portion of the main body, wherein the ribs converge at their first ends.
