Abstract

A multilayer ceramic electronic device includes an element body having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape in which a first internal electrode layer and a second internal electrode layer are alternately stacked with a dielectric layer sandwiched therebetween, and external electrodes formed on a surface of the element body so as to be spaced apart from each other, with the first internal electrode layer and the second internal electrode layer being drawn out thereto, respectively. The first internal electrode layer and the second internal electrode layer contain a sub-component in addition to a main component. The sub-component of the first internal electrode layer is different from the sub-component of the second internal electrode layer.
