Abstract
Aspects described herein may allow for vehicle tracking. Systems and methods described herein may allow a vehicle to automatically detect the presence of a physical marker at a parking space. An image of the physical marker may be processed to determine the location of the vehicle, which may be stored and/or output for display.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a server and from a mobile device, a location of the mobile device and a request to access a vehicle;
- receiving, by the server, a first identifier corresponding to a smart key storage device of a plurality of smart key storage devices, wherein the server is communicatively connected to the plurality of smart key storage devices, and wherein the smart key storage device is associated with the vehicle;
- associating the first identifier corresponding to the smart key storage device with a second identifier corresponding to a key for the vehicle;
- receiving, by the server and from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key is stored within a storage compartment of the smart key storage device;
- receiving, by the server and from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key has been removed from the storage compartment based on a sensor detecting removal of the key;
- and
- updating a user record for a user to indicate removal of the key in response to the indication that the key has been removed.
4 more elements
A system comprising:
- a server;
- and
- a plurality of smart key storage devices communicatively connected to the server and including a smart key storage device, wherein the smart key storage device comprises a first sensor and a storage compartment configured to store a key associated with a vehicle;
- wherein the server is configured to:
- receive, from a mobile device, a location of the mobile device and a request to access the vehicle;
- receive a first identifier corresponding to the smart key storage device;
- associate the first identifier corresponding to the smart key storage device with a second identifier corresponding to the key;
- receive, from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key is stored within the storage compartment;
- receive, from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key has been removed from the storage compartment based on a sensor detecting removal of the key;
- and
- update a user record of a user to indicate removal of the key in response to the indication that the key has been removed;
- wherein the smart key storage device is configured to:
- detect, via the first sensor, removal of the key;
- and
- send, to the server, the indication that the key has been removed from the storage compartment.
12 more elements
An apparatus comprising
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- receive, from a mobile device, a location of the mobile device and a request to access a vehicle;
- receive a first identifier corresponding to a smart key storage device of a plurality of smart key storage devices, wherein the apparatus is communicatively connected to the plurality of smart key storage devices, and wherein the smart key storage device is associated with the vehicle;
- associate the first identifier corresponding to the smart key storage device with a second identifier corresponding to a key for the vehicle;
- receive, from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key is stored within a storage compartment of the smart key storage device;
- receive, from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key has been removed from the storage compartment based on a sensor detecting removal of the key after providing an unlock instruction;
- and
- receive, from the smart key storage device, an indication that the key has been returned to the storage compartment, based on the sensor detecting the second identifier corresponding to the key.
