System and method for guiding visitors in an environment

A method of guiding visitors in an environment, comprising:

• receiving, by one or more processors, a visitor request comprising information about a destination in the environment which a visitor intends to visit;
• determining a current location of the visitor based on an access control log, the access control log comprising one or more access events associated with the visitor;
• obtaining, in real-time from an operations database, a current status of one or more access points associated with the environment;
• providing the information about the destination, the current location of the visitor, and the current status of the one or more access points associated with the environment as an input to an AI-engine;
• receiving a route to the destination of the visitor as an output from the AI engine, the route being determined by application of at least one AI technique on one or more of the information about the destination, the current location of the visitor, and the current status of the one or more access points associated with the environment;
• and
• providing the route on a user device of the visitor.

A computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processing system, cause the processing system to:

• receive a visitor request comprising information about a destination in the environment which a visitor intends to visit;
• determine a current location of the visitor based on an access control log, the access control log comprising one or more access events associated with the visitor;
• obtain, in real-time from an operations database, a current status of one or more access points associated with the environment;
• provide the information about the destination, the current location of the visitor and the current status of the one or more access points associated with the environment as an input to an AI-engine;
• receive, as an output from the AI engine, a route to the destination of the visitor, the route being determined by application of at least one AI technique on one or more of the information about the destination, the current locations of the visitor and the current status of the one or more access points associated with the environment;
• and
• provide the generated route on a user device of the visitor.
