Methods of grounding a perforating gun assembly. The methods include providing a perforating gun assembly having a gun barrel housing, an explosive charge holder, and a detonator. A tandem sub having a steel body with an internal bore and a tapered shoulder is threadedly connected to the gun barrel housing. A bearing member is positioned along the tapered shoulder of the tandem sub and includes a tubular support body, a plurality of roller bearings, and a cage. An electrically conductive ground member is placed within or abutting the bearing member, establishing electrical communication between the bearing member and the steel body of the tandem sub. The bearing member may also be grounded to the gun barrel housing of the perforating gun assembly. The methods further include running the assembly into a wellbore, and then detonating the explosive charges held within the charge holder.
