Abstract
A shock absorber, comprising a distal attachment, comprising a flexible bush and an inner sleeve: coaxial with a distal axis transversal to a main axis crossing the proximal attachment and the distal attachment; configured for attaching the shock absorber to a distal mounting of the vehicle, by fixedly securing the inner sleeve to the distal mounting; and comprising a lateral end surface and a first anti-rotation element, protruding from and/or recessed from the lateral end surface, parallel to the distal axis, for imposing a single rotational position of the inner sleeve around the distal axis, relative to the distal mounting, when the inner sleeve is secured to the distal mounting.
Claims15
A shock absorber, for a vehicle, wherein the shock absorber is movable between a compressed configuration and a released configuration and comprises:
- a proximal attachment, for attaching the shock absorber to a proximal mounting of the vehicle;
- and
- a distal attachment, which is brought closer to the proximal attachment when the shock absorber is moved from the released configuration to the compressed configuration, the distal attachment comprising a flexible bush and an inner sleeve received within the flexible bush or formed integrally with the flexible bush,
- wherein the inner sleeve:
- is coaxial with a distal axis transversal to a main axis crossing the proximal attachment and the distal attachment;
- is configured for attaching the shock absorber to a distal mounting of the vehicle, by fixedly securing the inner sleeve to the distal mounting;
- and
- comprises a lateral end surface and a first anti-rotation element, protruding from and/or recessed from the lateral end surface, parallel to the distal axis, for imposing a single rotational position of the inner sleeve around the distal axis, relative to the distal mounting, when the inner sleeve is secured to the distal mounting.
