Abstract
According to one aspect of the disclosure, packaging for a sterile syringe having a nominal size of less than 1 mL may include a flexible tray having a cavity for containing the syringe. The cavity may include an opening, one or more sidewalls, and a base. A lip may surround the opening, may extend radially outward from the cavity, and may define a periphery of the tray. A removable cover may have a periphery that is adhered to the lip, and the removable cover may be permeable to a gaseous sterilant, including one or more of vaporized hydrogen peroxide or ethylene oxide. A projection may be associated with the base of the cavity and may extend away from the base of the cavity in a direction opposite to the opening of the cavity.

1-25. (canceled)
A packaging, comprising:
- a tray including a base defining a cavity for receiving a syringe, wherein the cavity includes:
- a first cavity;
- a second cavity separated from the first cavity by a first narrowed portion disposed between the second cavity and the first cavity;
- and
- a third cavity separated from the second cavity by a second narrowed portion disposed between the third cavity and the second cavity;
- wherein a width and a depth of the cavity at the first narrowed portion and the second narrowed portion is relatively smaller than at each of the first cavity, the second cavity, and the third cavity;
- and
- wherein the base is configured to abut against a portion of the syringe received in the first narrowed portion and the second narrowed portion to raise the syringe within the cavity based on the depth of the first narrowed portion and the second narrowed portion, such that portions of the syringe received in the first cavity, the second cavity, and the third cavity are suspended over and offset from the base.
A packaging, comprising:
- a tray having a cavity for receiving a syringe, the tray includes an opening, a plurality of sidewalls, and a base, wherein the cavity includes a first cavity portion, a second cavity portion, and a third cavity portion;
- a lip surrounding the opening;
- and
- a removable cover adhered to a portion of the lip;
- wherein at least one of the first cavity portion, the second cavity portion, and the third cavity portions is connected to another of the first cavity portion, the second cavity portion, or the third cavity portions by a narrowed portion that includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall opposing the first sidewall, and a base disposed between the first sidewall and the second sidewall.
A packaging, comprising:
- a tray having a cavity for receiving a syringe, wherein the tray includes an opening, a plurality of sidewalls, and a base, wherein the cavity includes a first cavity portion, a second cavity portion, and a third cavity portion;
- a lip surrounding the opening;
- and
- a removable cover adhered to a portion of the lip;
- wherein at least one of the first cavity portion, the second cavity portion, and the third cavity portions is connected to another of the first cavity portion, the second cavity portion, or the third cavity portions by a narrowed portion including a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a base;
- and
- wherein the first sidewall, the second sidewall, and the base each include at least one geometric feature projecting into the narrowed portion.
