Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods and a device for co-administering crop protection chemicals, such as pesticides and fungicides, with 1-MCP to inhibit plant pathogens and protect the quality of agricultural plants and crops, such as fruit.
Claims20
A method of co-treating plants or plant parts comprising:
- placing the plants or plant parts in an enclosed space,
- administering a co-treatment comprising a pesticide and a plant growth regulator to the plants or plant parts within the enclosed space, and
- inhibiting plant pathogens and ethylene action of the plants or plant parts.
A crop protection composition for treating plants or plant parts comprising:
- a pesticide, wherein the pesticide is a fog,
- wherein the fog comprises a plurality of microparticles, wherein each microparticle of the plurality of microparticles has a size of about 2 microns or less.
