Abstract
The present invention provides engineered nitroaldolase polypeptides useful for the production of the β-nitro alcohols, as well as polynucleotides, compositions, and methods utilizing these engineered polypeptides.
Claims33
An engineered nitroaldolase polypeptide comprising a polypeptide sequence comprising at least 80%, 85%, 86%, 87%, 88%, 89%, 90%, 91%, 92%, 93%, 94%, 95%, 96%, 97%, 98%, or 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NOs:
- 2, 24, 496, 860, 1120, and/or 1348, or a functional fragment thereof, wherein said engineered nitroaldolase polypeptide comprises at least one substitution or substitution set in said polypeptide sequence, and wherein the amino acid positions of said polypeptide sequence are numbered with reference to SEQ ID NOs:
- 2, 24, 496, 860, 1120, and/or 1348.
An engineered polynucleotide sequence encoding at least one engineered polypeptide, wherein said polypeptide sequence comprises at least 80%, 85%, 86%, 87%, 88%, 89%, 90%, 91%, 92%, 93%, 94%, 95%, 96%, 97%, 98%, or 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NOs:
- 2, 24, 496, 860, 1120, and/or 1348, wherein the sequence of said polypeptide comprises at least one substitution at one or more positions.
An engineered polynucleotide comprising the odd-numbered sequences set forth in SEQ ID NOs:
- 3-1483.
