Printer

A printer, comprising:

• a printer section configured to print on recording paper;
• a main body configured to support a first portion of the printer section;
• an openable-closable section rotatably connected to the main body about a rotary shaft orthogonal to a width direction of the recording paper and configured to support a second portion of the printer section;
• and
• an opening-closing lever provided at a second end portion of the openable-closable section on a side opposite to a first end portion connected to the main body and configured to rotationally move between a release position, in which the openable-closable section can be opened and closed, and a lock position, in which the openable-closable section is closingly fixed to the main body, wherein
• the opening-closing lever includes
• an engagement portion that, when the opening closing lever is in the lock position, extends along a side surface of the openable-closable section and is configured to engage with a side portion of the main body;
• and
• a lock release lever that extends toward the first end portion of the openable-closable section upon the opening-closing lever being in the lock position.
